First Aid For Youth Mental Health (Online)

This RQF level 2 course has been designed to provide an overview of the mental health challenges that can be experienced by children and young people, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It provides learners with an understanding of the factors that can impact the mental health of children and young people, the mental health concerns that they have and ideas to support those with mental health conditions. This course is for anyone who works in a school or college environment and is designed as a follow on module to the Mental Health First Aid course.

WHO IS IT FOR?

This course is suitable for anyone who wants a better understanding of how to recognise signs of poor mental health in children and young people.

This course is delivered virtually over Zoom across 3 dates and you can choose to join our AM sessions or our PM sessions.

During three two-hour sessions and via guided independent learning, we will cover a broad range of topics :

  • What is first aid for youth mental health?
  • Identifying mental health conditions
  • Stress
  • Mental health condition
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • First aid action plan for mental health

 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

This course is £200 + VAT for those without a Level 3 Mental Health First Aider qualification and £50 + VAT for those with a Level 3 Mental Health First Aider qualification. This course includes all course materials, including resources for independent learning and qualification to receive a level 2 certificate on successful completion of the course.

HOW LONG DOES THE COURSE LAST?

1 x 2 hour session for those who already have a Level 3 MHFA qualification.
3 x 2 hour sessions for those who do not have a Level 3 MHFA qualification.
